Today, try to do some type of aerobic workout for 30-45 minutes. You can look up something online, do a DVD from home, use cardio equipment at your house, jump rope, do stairs, pretend jump rope, or run in place. Stretch for at least 15 minutes and choose 6 core exercises (challenge yourself)! Catch up on school assignments then enjoy the rest of your day off!
Practice Saturday is on your own. Please do 12-45 minutes easy, leg strength, and stretch.
Today is recovery day, 12-50 minutes depending on your event group, stretching and strength. Throwers can do easy 10 minutes and lift if they have access to a weight room!
Shoe night is tonight at 7:00 at Potomac River Running, Fairfax Corners. Come get a discount, get some great information, and visit with the team!
Don't forget team pictures tomorrow at 3:45! Everyone dress up - boys tie, girls dress/skirt! If purchasing pictures, bring money with you!
Due to the weather: *pole vault will resume where it left off *200 will be run as finals at the time originally scheduled for the 200 finals *we will wait out any storms tomorrow since it is not a school night (be prepared for hot, rain, and possibly a long night, as well as your best performances!! *the 4x8 will be run Saturday am (time not confirmed but about 10) *our goals for competition remain unchanged! *great first day! Today's practice is on your own. Please go home and do recovery run, 12-40 minutes, (throwers can add footwork or weights), 2 sets 5 strength exercises, stretch, and get in the shower and dry clothes. It should give you plenty of time to workout, do your schoolwork, and get some sleep!!
