Congratulations to Tayelor Trasher-Walker for her Meet Record, School Record, and District/Regional/State/National Qualifying mark of 40 ft. 8 in. in the Shot Put!
The entries for the =PR= Invitational have been posted on the Facebook group. If you cannot attend, you must let Coach Groff know, ASAP!
Entries for the 12/15 Meet at TJMS are posted on the Facebook group!
There will be 2 buses for the 12/15 Meet at TJMS. They will depart at different times. Here is the schedule:
- 1st bus leaves @ 3:00 (or as close as possible to 3:00). All athletes competing in the 4x8, 55m, and 55m Hurdles, High Jump, and Shot Put will ride the 1st bus.
- 2nd bus leaves at 4:30. All remaining athletes will ride the 2nd bus.
As always, you can provide your own transportation provided that you a) have a transportation form on file and b) arrive no later than 5:30. There will be only 1 bus coming back from the meet, so athletes are approved to ride home with parents/approved drivers if possible.

Unfortunately, the meet for tomorrow at Episcopal High School has been canceled.

The Indoor Track Picture Day will be on December 12th from 3:15-4:pm in the Gym. You can find a printable copy of the order form in the Team Files section of the website and on the Facebook group. In addition, here is a link to pre-pay online (Which can also be found in the Team Link section of the website and on the Facebook group and Google Calendar):
Using it helps to avoid those situations where "I left my form at home, etc." Keep in mind that if you are pre-paying online, you will need to remind the photographers the day of the shoot as they will not have access to any online orders.

All training for every group (Throws, Sprints, Hurdles, and Distance) has been posted on the Facebook group. Don't forget that we have practice at 8 am on Saturday, too!
Come join your team at the Potomac River Running in Fairfax on Wednesday, November 29th at 7:45 pm. for the Westfield Indoor Track Team Night! We will have exclusive access to the store after hours where the amazing =PR= staff will help guide you through the process of buying properly fitting and functioning shoes and apparel. All students will receive a discount on their purchase, there will be specials on apparel, awesome prizes will be raffled off, and =PR= donates to our program for every purchase made. Get yourself equipped for the season and have some fun, too!

Monday, November 20th is the Winter Athletics Parents Night! It will be at 7:00pm in the Theater at Westfield High School.
This is your chance to come meet the Coaches and get some valuable information regarding the upcoming season from the Athletic Training and Indoor Track Staff. This meeting is mandatory for parents and will serve as our parent interest meeting for the season. We will discuss a variety of topics including volunteering, fundraising, and more. Please plan on attending and help to grow our amazing Westfield Track Family!

Athletes can turn paperwork and t-shirt money into Coach Groff in A115 beginning on October 20th. All paperwork must be turned in prior to the first day of tryouts.
The following forms are to be turned in to Coach Groff regardless of participation in a Fall sport:
- Emergency Care Card
- FCPS Participation Form
- Team Rules Signature Sheet
- Transportation Forms
- T-shirt $
The following items are to be turned into the Athletic Training Room or the Activities Office:
- Completed VHSL 2017 Physical
The following items are to be completed online:
- FCPS Concussion Education completed by one parent
- FCPS Concussion Education completed by athlete
Due the FCPS cancellation of school for the day, we will not be having practice today, Wednesday, January 4th. See the Facebook group for the workouts for your event groups that need to be completed on your own.
Due to the inclement weather and poor road conditions, practice is cancelled today. Please do your best to spread the word amongst your teammates who may not see this message. Also, stay tuned to announcements from your event coaches about on-your-own workouts to do. Don't confuse this for a day off and don't slack! This is a crucial part of the season, and we want to keep all the momentum we've gained thus far going.
